Jelly

Description

Jelly by Abe Injeian presents a graceful jellyfish through an intricate and minimalist approach to drawing. Measuring 13 × 38.75 inches, the vertically oriented artwork uses the elongated format to emphasize the extraordinary length and delicate movement of the jellyfish’s tentacles.

Created with ballpoint pen on paper, the artwork is built almost entirely from fine white and silver-toned lines against a deep black ground. The detailed strokes define the jellyfish’s rounded bell while numerous slender lines extend downward to create its long, flowing tentacles. The contrast between the dark background and luminous linework gives the subject an almost ethereal, floating quality.

The restrained monochromatic palette allows the viewer to focus on the structure, rhythm, and movement of the jellyfish. Its vertical composition makes the artwork particularly suited to narrow wall spaces, hallways, entryways, or contemporary interiors where a tall statement piece can create visual interest without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Jelly combines marine-life subject matter with meticulous pen drawing and minimalist composition, offering a distinctive interpretation of one of the ocean’s most delicate creatures.
