In March 2024, a persistent inner voice I could no longer ignore became a life-changing gift. It whispered, then insisted, that I paint. I believe this voice belonged to my mother, an artist herself, urging me to live the creative life she never fully realized. With no training, technique, or plan, I listened. I picked up a brush for the first time and surrendered.
What followed has been the most profound journey of discovery of my life. In just over two years, I have created more than 140 abstract acrylic and mixed-media paintings.
I work through a deeply intuitive process I call automatic painting. I approach each canvas with childlike openness, allowing color, texture, fabric, and raw emotion to guide me without rules or expectations. Many pieces began as what I thought were mistakes, only to evolve into something unexpectedly beautiful.
These works are my dreamscapes: exploratory, tactile, emotional landscapes born from a place deep within me. Some burst forth as joyful explosions of color and light, while others release long-buried feelings. This unexpected journey has healed me, awakened me, and shown me what it truly means to create from the soul.
Through painting, I have learned that the most powerful art often comes not from what can be taught, but from the courage to listen, let go, and trust the unknown. I feel incredibly grateful for this gift. Each canvas is both a discovery and a love letter to life.
