Irina Mirskaya is a painter and educator whose work captures a sense of enchantment, emphasizing mood and emotion. Irina is inspired by atmospheric cityscapes, festivals, and landscapes documented during her travels. Often she develops her paintings from field sketches captured on site using a portable watercolor palette. Mirskaya’s extensive professional background includes regional and institutional exhibitions at venues such as the Pacific Design Center, Chemers Gallery, Optical Allusion, Slutzky Art Gallery, and Gatov Gallery. A seasoned instructor, she has directed textile design studios and taught at the Otis College of Art and Design, alongside leading private workshops. Her diverse artistic footprint spans children’s book illustration, artisanal crafts, and a personal passion for Flamenco dance.
