Description
Between Tide and Light by Yasi Azad explores the meeting point between the luminous surface of the ocean and the mysterious world beneath it. The composition is built from flowing layers of turquoise, aqua, deep ocean blue, and white, creating the impression of waves moving continuously across the canvas.
The textured white edges of the waves evoke sea foam and breaking surf, while the gradual transition from pale, translucent tones into darker blue depths creates a strong sense of dimension. The glossy epoxy resin surface enhances this effect by reflecting light across the layered forms, giving the water an almost three-dimensional appearance.
Subtle silhouettes of marine life can be seen within the darker underwater area, introducing a quiet sense of discovery and emphasizing the relationship between the visible surface and the hidden world below. Rather than presenting a literal seascape, the artwork uses abstraction, texture, and depth to evoke the movement, energy, and tranquility of the ocean.
With its vertical 32 × 48-inch format and luminous coastal palette, Between Tide and Light brings a dramatic yet calming ocean presence to contemporary interiors.
